Amazon Studios announced a new partnership with Disney, and it’s no surprise that Amazon will be adding new content to its catalog.
Amazon Studios will be able to make and distribute video content for its various video games, including games that were made by Disney.
Disney owns Pixar, Lucasfilm, Marvel Studios, and Marvel Entertainment.
The company has made films like Monsters University and the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron, and will also be producing new Disney movies.
The deal will create a joint venture with Disney that will provide Amazon Studios with “digital content and distribution services.”
It will also include “production and distribution of digital content for Disney games, films, TV shows, and interactive experiences.”
The new deal with Disney is the latest example of Amazon’s expanding its video content offerings to include games.
Last year, Amazon added new games to its library, including the recently announced Battle of the Bastards, an action RPG that features an in-depth narrative.
And Amazon also recently announced its own exclusive deal with Microsoft that includes a digital copy of the upcoming Battlefront game.
It’s not clear how long the new deal will last, but Amazon Studios is expected to launch a series of games that will include Disney content soon.
We’ll have more to share on this story as it develops.
