A strange toy that appears to be a toy doll has sold for $10,000 in an auction in China.
The doll, named “Stingray,” is one of several unusual dolls being sold on Chinese online auction site Baidu.
The seller said it was sold by an individual who is part of a “toy culture” in China, according to a video posted on a video-sharing website.
The item, which was first reported in the South China Morning Post, is made of silver and has three buttons on the front, with a string attached to one of them, according a description on Baidub.
The item is about 10 cm long.
It is not clear who is selling the item.
Baidu, the world’s largest online video sharing site, did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
The seller said the item was purchased by a group of people who “finally felt the love and admiration of their fans,” the Post reported.
The buyer said he had purchased the item “from a small Chinese shop in Guangzhou,” according to the report.
Stingrays are also sold for about $7 each.
